As a Market Recruiting Lead you are responsible for the recruiting strategy dedicated to the hiring of Apple’s Stores in a given Market. Your role works skillfully in an unique blend of expertise, leadership, and accountability. You are the face of Recruiting to the senior leaders in your Markets; a key strategist and leader, who frames the recruiting vision and then guides all recruiting efforts across multiple partners towards successful outcomes. You are also the voice of the Stores in your Market at the Regional Recruiting level, and you ensure representation of their requirements in current and future strategies. You lead the strategy and execution for Leadership hiring in your markets, Internal and External, while partnering with non-leadership Recruiters dedicated to the same markets on their strategy and execution. You may also guide Recruiting Marketing and Programs, Mobility, and Employee Relations experts on priorities and focus areas for the Stores. In this player/coach capacity you are a critical conduit in the community of experts dedicated to a market of Stores, and also the key communicator on their behalf to the market Directors and People Business Partners In this role you report to the Senior Manager of Leadership Recruiter, and can be supported by an indirect team of Leadership Sourcers and where applicable, externally-focused Leadership Recruiters. This broader team engages external market expertise together with internal acumen to define where to achieve the best results. Essential to your success is establishing trusted relationships across the business, People team, and most especially with candidates. These relationships will be earned by consistently delivering on commitments and by being known for high integrity and engagement.

In your role as Market Recruiting Lead, you will take part in many responsibilities, including : You are directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for all hiring in the Market(s) You are the face of Recruiting and key strategist to the MD/ML and People Team in the market You are the key interface between Market and Regionally dedicated Recruiting resources, defining the roadmap with a market view, and delivering a localised strategy You join Talent Planning efforts in Market for Leadership talent You lead Operational Planning in partnership with MD/ML and People partners, to build workforce planning, readiness tracking and recruiting strategy You are the Market expert on the talent landscape, provide insights on unique attributes and cultures within the Market You execute Leadership hiring activity including selection and assessment for external leadership candidates You lead a matrixed team of direct and indirect resources to deliver a localised recruiting plan and strategy for the Market(s) You manage Leadership Recruiters, where required You manage Mobility, international and domestic, for all Leadership candidates You work with Stores Leadership and People partners to define appropriate resourcing strategies You nurture close ties across all Recruiting teams in the Market, and prioritize learning of Retail and Corporate competencies You partner with Non-Leadership Recruiting manager, and support the teams dedicated to the same Market on their sourcing & recruitment efforts You facilitate the process, communication and mobility of field leadership talent (including repatriation) through partnership with Apple’s Global Mobility team You measure performance through reporting and analytics in order to support talent decisions in the market, and drive continuous improvement You coach and build Stores’ Leadership capability in candidate assessment and selection You maintain close ties to MD and Market Leaders, and act as strategic lead for Leadership and Non-Leadership Recruiting You inform Talent CoEs on local needs for continuous improvement of Recruiting tools and services You recruit regularly to ensure deep and ready pipeline of talent, and awareness of local labour and industry trends You own the interview process, competency assessment, and feedback loop for Internal Leadership hiring / Support the same for external Leadership hiring You define an exceptional candidate experience, for internal and external talent You prepare candidates and manage panels for internal leadership movement You lleverage tools, systems and best practices to teach others about recruiting at Apple You support and lend expertise on the use and integration of Apple Talent Point into all Market-specific recruiting activities You stay globally minded and widely connected, to support current needs and future opportunities If applicable, you manage a Leadership Recruiting resource in his/her process, performance, and partnership to the business.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Occasional overnight travel required
  • Deep Recruiting functional expertise, ideally in Retail
  • Experience managing and/or coaching highly skilled teams, and leading them through complex and strategic efforts
  • Proven success implementing and leading People programs, initiatives, tools, and processes
  • Mastery of communication skills, including negotiation and cross functional
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ideally Based in-Market with the Stores you support
