As part of the Global Benefits team and the wider Finance team in general, you will have the opportunity to put your talents to the test with a constantly changing environment and dynamic market need. This is a highly visible and challenging position where you will be involved in Fitness Center day-to-day operations, preventive care, health education and other innovative wellness programs in Japan and South Korea. In addition, this position will assist the development, implementation and ongoing support of the Benefits plan (Medical plan, dental, vision, savings, etc.) as well as other initiatives and communications.


  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively harmonize with employees and business leaders on a one-on-one basis and in group presentations
  • Organization, attention to detail, troubleshooting and proven customer service skills are a must
  • Independent, proactive self-starter with ability to successfully lead and prioritise in a complex, matrix and fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in both speaking and writing in English and Japanese
  • Working knowledge of foundational applications such as Excel/Numbers, Word/Pages, Powerpoint/Keynote, WebEx/Blackboard, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • First Aid/CPR certification is mandatory
  • ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor, ACE or other Personal Training certification preferred


Employee experience is at the forefront of what we do on the Global Benefits team. In this role, you will need to be a person of high integrity and good judgment, who can work independently to support for fitness and wellness programs with the capability to timely address, advance and articulate items required to support these programs. Some of the responsibilities include: - Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations of the fitness center and ensure all is up to Apple standards: - Maintain close relationship with Facilities and Janitorial - Assist members with questions about exercise/equipment - Management of fitness center memberships to include membership sign up, payroll deductions, surveys - Formulate group fitness schedule, consultation program, onsite massage, and contracts - Collaborate with instructors, personal trainer, and registered dietitian - Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs - Oversee Fitness and Benefits vendors - Procure amenities and equipment as required plus monthly maintenance checks and ad-hoc repairs - Partner closely with Wellness/Benefits SME to lead and implement Fitness and Benefits programs in Japan: - Concepts with partners to obtain consensus and approval - Compile and report on programs as requested - Assist with translation from English to Japanese as needed - Serve as a liaison between global / regional Wellness and Benefits team and their local providers - Assess cost/budget, process improvement opportunity, and reduce operational errors - Handle billing and invoicing with external service providers on a timely basis - Maintain policies, documentation and contents - Maintain compliance of our programs with applicable legislation - Plan and coordinate annual flu vaccinations for Japan and Korea in corporate and retail - Plan and implement meaningful health education seminars - Arranging workshops/onsite employee information sessions


Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Public Health or a related field
