This role will be based out of Tokyo. The Product Marketing Manager will own and drive the product centric marketing strategy for responsible product in Japan. You will be part of a team of product experts who champion products within their respective markets and seek innovative ways to keep our products at the heart of the customer conversation. Continuous improvement of product launches, comprehensive business and market analytics, instinctive insights and the discipline to focus are valued attributes. The Product Marketing Manager will have a deep understanding of the product, portfolio and marketing strategy, twinned with the ability to execute for results. The Product Marketing Manager must have the ability to work collaboratively with other critical functions, Marcom, PR, Finance and Sales, to articulate and craft the opportunity ahead for their product line of business and communicate region-unique requirements for current and future products in a coherent way to multiple partners across the globe as well as the US. Description

- Provide product leadership from product introduction to end-of-life for our Japan business, supporting business and marketing reviews as needed - Execute hardware products, OS, and apps launches in Japan with excellence every time - Contribute to the annual Japan Marketing plan, outlining key opportunities and priorities for growth and category leadership, synthesizing research and business insights, and driving in-market execution for responsible products in the market - Support hardware products, OS, and apps launches with press, partner and customer-facing staff - Liaise with worldwide Product Marketing and Engineering teams on relevant local business needs and feature requirements, influencing the product roadmap through clear recommendations that improve overall customer experience across hardware, software and services - Become a visible and vocal member of the international Product Marketing team - Be the guardian of product messaging and positioning across all key customer touch points, advancing the cause of excellence

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management and marketing experience in related industries
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 50% of the time)
  • Instinctive ability to be the voice of the consumer
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Depth of technical awareness, able to translate features into consumer benefits and vice versa
  • Strategic planning expertise
  • Outstanding oral and written storytelling and presentation capabilities in English
  • Proficiency in Japanese
  • Negotiation skills
  • Possess expert knowledge of competitive and third party products, software applications and market trends across consumer, enterprise and education segments.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. MS/MA/MBA preferred but not conditional.
