This is an unique and exciting opportunity to join the People team as a People Business Partner supporting Japan Site and AppleCare business group. AppleCare is Apple’s premier Service and Support organization providing award-winning technical support and product service to our global customer base.
Description
In this role you will partner closely with the global People team and business leaders to align on People strategy. You will provide the full spectrum of strategic and tactical HR services and programs to AppleCare organization. You’ll provide direct support to leaders to frame the People agenda supporting the business objectives, driving key initiatives across site and home-based teams.
You will also work closely with Japan People Site Lead on developing and executing People Strategies for Japan, amplifying Apple values, building connections and engagement across varous lines of business in Japan.
Business Knowledge: Displays curiosity along with a depth of understanding of business organizations, including key business functions and processes and a passion to build business insight.
Organizational Development and Design: Support and work with business teams to understand current and future goals and trends that may impact workforce needs and initiatives. Proactively engage with leaders on people strategy through workforce planning, organization design and structure.
Talent & Performance Management: Partner with leadership to design and deliver appropriate talent planning activities that will identify talent, leadership development priorities, and succession plans. Focus efforts on accessing development needs, and promoting a learning environment which supports on-the-job opportunities. Leverage coaching skills to assist employees and managers through development and performance matters.
Diversity Programs: Partner to drive diversity initiatives with consideration for talent movement, I&D dashboards, recruiting and representation as well as targeted development initiatives. Collaborate to develop I&D action plans in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
Recruiting: Act as liaison between site Recruiting functions and line organisations. Ensures hiring strategies are aligned with business goals. Participates in interview process for management and key hires.
Employee Relations: Working with ER partners, ensures appropriate staffing levels and delivery of ER services to managers and employees. Identifies and implements pro-active ER programs to drive improved morale and organisational performance. Manages escalated issues and dispute resolution processes.
Compensation/Benefits: Supports and executes compensation and benefits programs (annual salary planning process, performance reviews and benefit programs and employee services). Partners with Benefits and Wellness in providing guidance to management on leaves, Leave of Absences, Accommodations, and Wellness Activities.
Special Projects: Develop and work on special and cross-functional projects as identified.
Learning & Development: Understands the training/development needs and acts as liaison with Apple University and other L&D partners to ensure proper training is provided to the organization.
People/ HR Metrics: Provides insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data to management. Recommends programs and/or enhancements as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7-12 years of experience as a strategic HR partner or similar role
- Strong organizational development background responsible for Team Effectiveness, Coaching, and Culture.
- Experience supporting a contact center environment and/or large, non-exempt employee populations
- Proven ability to work in heavily matrix environment with global teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, both as a lead and a supporting team member.
- Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability according to changing needs and priorities
- Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company, managers and employees alike
- Proven ability to navigate and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- BA/BS degree required
- Fluency in English and Japanese
