As the Senior RF HW Lead Engineer, you will work on-site at one or more of our vendors as our local technical expert and be responsible for technical R&D campaigns such as bring up, characterization, debugging and design improvements, as well as, guiding and training the vendor.

Key Qualifications

  • Fundamentals of digital communications, wireless protocols, transceiver design / integration and semiconductor electronics
  • RF test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, AWGs, load/source pull tuner systems, shield boxes, one box testers, and call boxes
  • RF performance criteria and concepts such as EIRP, TRP, TIS, noise figure, sensitivity/desense, phase noise, EVM, ACLR, spectral mask, spurious, harmonics, intermodulation, s-parameters, Smith charts, and tuning networks
  • Hardware bring-up, bench evaluation, and troubleshooting involving general lab equipment
  • Schematic, layout, and signal integrity design tools
  • Linear cascade analysis tools such as ADS, MWO, or MATLAB
  • EM analysis tools such as HFSS, MWS, Sonnet, or Momentum
  • Programming and scripting languages such as C, Java, Python, MySQL, or MATLAB


- RF bring up campaigns, RF debugging and design improvement - Design, implement, correlate, maintain and further develop advanced RF test systems - Execute / oversee RF measurement campaigns, analyze, and report data - Collaborate closely with, train, guide and strengthen the technical RF capabilities of the local on-site vendor - Board design and optimization using EM simulation tools such as HFSS - Support up to 15% travel to collaborate with international teams and support factory builds

Education & Experience

Master of Science Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Additional Requirements

  • - RF system design, requirements flow-down, link budget analysis and cascade analysis
  • - Front end architectures and component technologies employed for WiFi/BT and cellular systems
  • - PCB substrate design, material sets and properties, and manufacturing processes
  • - Design, simulation, and validation of lumped and distributed passive networks, including transmission lines, transitions, couplers, splitters, resonators and baluns
  • - Statistical analysis of high volume production data
  • - Excellent verbal and written English communication, fluent in Korean
  • - Successful track record of delivering highly innovative communications products
  • - Organized, flexible, and efficient operation in a dynamic lab work environment
