The AML (Applied Machine Learning) Solution team build solution that impacts across Apple. We are seeking a versatile Data & Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models, algorithms, building data pipelines, and Java / Python code to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to collect, process, and analyze large datasets, as well as design and deploy scalable machine learning systems. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, experience with machine learning frameworks, and a solid understanding of data science concepts. Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building and managing big-data platforms and programming experience in Java
- Working experience with Distributed Systems technologies (NoSql, Caching, Streaming)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or EKS
- Experience with debugging issues on distributed systems.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development lifecycle
- Experience with public cloud (AWS/GCP)
- Have created frameworks to deploy platforms in AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Experience in building, tuning, scaling, and monitoring applications to process real-time, near-real-time and batch data
- Good understanding of AI/ML stack - GPUs, MLFlow, LLM models is a plus.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts is a plus
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams to deliver complex projects.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
- Understanding of business objectives and the ability to translate them into data-driven solutions that drive value and impact for the organization.
Description
- Strong understanding of big-data and ML platforms, passionate about building and managing cloud infrastructure and can demonstrate to Apple’s high standards.
- Develop and maintain large code base by writing readable, modular and well tested code.
- Build and integrate end to end lifecycles of large-scale, distributed machine learning systems using the latest open source technologies
- Improve distributed cloud GPU training approaches for deep learning models
