The Immersive Media camera team at Apple is looking for an experienced Videographer with a passion for rising up to the diverse challenges and unpredictability of filmmaking.From the harsh and unrelenting Great Outdoors to the controlled environment of a studio setting, and everything in between. The Videographer will be working with cutting-edge camera, lighting and audio systems while seeking out remarkable images to help bring Apples larger creative vision and technology to a global audience.
 A “normal day at the office” may include working on a multi-day shoot throughout a metropolitan city with a full production support crew, then immediately transitioning to a smaller-scale production in a remote environment.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a camera operator in news, documentary, travel or action sports productions
  • Hands-on experience working with high-end professional camera technologies
  • Comfortability troubleshooting complex camera, lighting, audio and riggings issues
  • Experience navigating the complexities of local government agencies and culturally sensitive locations
  • Able to adapt to sudden and frequent changes in a Director’s camera placement choice
  • Proven track record of being able to anticipate with the camera where action will unfold
  • Ability to troubleshoot camera issues in high-tension, time-sensitive moments
  • Able to lift 50 lbs to chest height while standing

Description

The Videographer will join a group of technology and production stakeholders tasked with producing a wide variety of projects for the Vision Pro at Apple. This person will draw upon their professional production experience in traditional cinema, studio, documentary and remote production to innovate storytelling in non-traditional ways. 
With unprecedented access to world locations, capture technology, and production staff, the Videographer will collaborate inclusively with the entire production chain from show prep to wrap and debrief. The Videographer’s voice and expertise will be relied on and heard throughout the production process. Additional duties will include many aspects of production such as scouting, logistics, equipment prep, working in concert with R&D teams, and assisting in post event content quality assessments to help improve future shoots.

Education & Experience

Bachelors or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Prior experience working with non-standard types of photography technology such as underwater and aerial
  • Experience navigating the complexities of working with local government agencies, culturally sensitive and significant locations
  • Comfortable and able to work in front of large crowds and by themselves
  • Experience shooting in crowded areas with gimbal-type camera systems
  • Experience with camera rigging (robo cams, car mounts, etc.)
  • Familiarity with typical video and audio recording formats commonly found in the cinematic or live broadcast industry
  • Familiar with the usage or operation of production equipment and lighting packages typically found in cinematic or live broadcast environments
  • Working knowledge of media production tools such as Adobe Premiere, Movie Magic, Resolve, etc
  • Must be available to work weekends,
  • Must be comfortable traveling with equipment cases on commercial air carriers
  • Experience using organizational communication tools. (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)
  • Extensive work with domestic and international rental equipment and shipping service providers
