We are seeking a visionary, resourceful and enthusiastic Data Scientist to help us provide insights and continuously improve the value of our internal applications.

Key Qualifications

  • Fluent English
  • 3+ years software development and/or machine learning experience
  • Deep experience with Python (preferred), R, or other languages for machine learning and data analysis
  • Fluency with databases (MySQL, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Experience producing high quality code with excellent reliability and scalability
  • Knowledge in analysis or machine learning (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras etc.)
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing techniques
  • Experience with popular packages for data visualization (D3, HighCharts, matplotlib, ggplot, seaborn, plotly, etc.)
  • Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines (Python preferred)
  • Experience writing unit tests in Python
  • Experience with Big Data technology stacks (i.e Spark/Hadoop, Dask etc.)
  • Contributions to Open Source Software
  • Working knowledge of source control software such as Git (preferred)
  • Exposure to Agile project management methodologies
  • Ability to multi-task and lead tasks with varying priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • In this role, you’ll implement a brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and management
  • Excellent verbal and written social skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and implement in short time
  • Appropriate working in a multi-discipline, geographically dispersed team


You will be part of an extraordinary team of talented engineers. You will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, and extensive data science and data engineering experience. This Data Scientist will focus on identifying and solving business challenges for Apple Hardware Engineering. You must have a strong background in one or (preferably) more of the following specialties: machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization. You must also be able to develop production machine learning applications with the team. You will work as a team to advance our data science capabilities in the short and long-term. You should be able of wearing many hats. Work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines. Open communication and healthy debate are paramount to your success within the team.
