We are seeking a skilled and hardworking Payroll Analyst to join the Americas Payroll Team in Brazil to provide the highest quality support to our employees and leadership in a vibrant environment. You will be responsible for eSocial files and updates for Brazil employees with adherence to Apple Legal and Local Statutory requirements. You will support Tier 2 cases, year-end processing and validation of government statements. Work plan will include interacting with various departments and leaders to identify and communicate process improvement, inefficiencies in processes, customer satisfaction opportunities, and recommend scalable solutions. Your focus will be on breaking down existing processes while collaborating with cross functional teams to implement agreed upon standard methodologies within the organization. You will work closely with the Employees, Benefits, People, 3rd party providers, Legal and Payroll to identify issues and surface root cause for further evaluation by SME. Key Qualifications

  • We expect you to have overall understanding of Brazil Payroll and Post Payroll process flows from the point of gross data capture through net calculation to include processing or analyzing complex payments, processing non-cash fringe benefits/awards and related gross up, garnishments, tax withholding calculations and calculating workups for overpayments and retroactive pay.
  • You are experienced developing and/or redesigning processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You are able to determine root causes of issues, recommending solutions, and developing processes to assess continuous improvement.
  • You are a go-getter who works well individually and in teams.
  • You bring strong written and verbal communication, and social skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills with solid attention to details describe your working style.
  • You have proficiency with spreadsheets, process mapping, and word processing tools.

  • Your previous experience includes working within an integrated systems environment such as SAP, ADP and Kronos.


You are up for the challenge if you: Understand the meaning and use of a registered CNPJ number. Understand how this is used in the SAP system as a branch (Filial) which is directly linked to the personal area and subarea. Ensure successful payroll results while meeting full compliance with Brazil’s complex rules and regulations. You understand the Consolidation of Brazilian Labor Laws also known as CLT. Have a deep understanding of basic rights of Brazil employees, which includes; minimum wage, the right to non-decreasing salary, rest day, maternity and paternity leave, the right to strike, overtime compensation, premium pay, accident insurance and family and educational allowance. Are proficient in Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements for São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, and Recife. You are aware of Brazil’s Federal Constitution and ensure that payroll follows all clauses. Have experience in calculating and processing vacation payments in advance which is 2 business days before vacations start, but is recorded/reported in the Monthly Payroll with a deduction for the payment already made. Are knowledgeable in Brazil termination calculation, process and payments. Required to manually calculate average payments upon termination. Meet Union packet requirements and be able to upload on to government sites. Have full understanding of “FGTS” - Fundo de Garantia por Tempo de Serviço - process and ensure deposits are made by the 7th day of month. Are experienced in monthly reporting of CAGED (Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados), DARF (Documento de Arrecadação de Receitas Federais) and GPS (Guia da Previdência Social), and Annual Reporting of DIRF (Declaração de Imposto de Renda Retido na Fonte) and RAIS (Relação Anual de Informações Sociais). Understand eSocial record keeping transformation project.

Education & Experience

Qualifications are generally met by someone who has a Bachelor’s degree and/or more than 5 years of related payroll and/or business analyst experience working in a complex organization.
