The Watch System EE Validation team is looking for an experienced software engineer with previous hardware design experience, who is passionate about applying their skills in software, automation, and data analysis to discover and root cause system coexistence issues during the Watch hardware design process. Key Qualifications

  • Possess software architecture skills, able to distill questions and needs to requirements, and design
  • Highly skilled at Python, and data analysis (e.g. parsing, processing, and visualization)
  • Adept at managing SW projects with tens of thousands of lines of code, and actively applies software best practices
  • Experienced with databases and cloud storage, handling tens of terabytes of data
  • Shipped hardware projects, possessing electrical engineering fundamentals for understanding hardware design
  • Experience with sampled systems (e.g. sensors, analog front ends, and DSP)
  • Experience with various radio technologies and integration issues (e.g. LTE, WiFi, BT, NFC)

Description

Factors crucial to the team’s overall success are: Timely delivery of critical data, working with System EE, Program Management, and Module teams to define and prioritize experiments, understanding the questions each experiment attempts to answer Drive new ideas and optimizations of both code and processes for efficiency gains Use data-driven analysis to understand relevant factors to root cause coexistence Daily activities for the role includes: Driving the debug of coexistence issues with System EE and Module EE teams Collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and implement module tests for experiments for at-scale factory data collection Deep-dive into data and outliers, applying relevant mathematical, statistical, signal processing, and visualization techniques Custom build scripts for debugging coexistence issues, including other system FA Ensure the back-end efficiently processes and visualizes results, and data pipeline between the factory and cross-functional teams is continuously delivering data

Education & Experience

A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum three to seven years of experience
