The Mobile & Messaging Apps team at Apple creates mobile e-commerce and retail experience through the Apple Store App, used by millions of Apple customers. By integrating revolutionary iOS technologies and dedication services, along with embracing the latest HI design standards, the Apple Store App sets the bar for iOS apps. In addition to the app, we also build the next generation of Apple’s engagement and communication with customers through Messaging Apps, powering the company’s official accounts on WeChat and iOS Business Chat. The Apple Mobile & Messaging Apps team is seeking an iOS Engineer to provide great user experiences for our customers who are seeking to purchase or learn more about our products. Come help us build a shopping experience that only Apple could provide. Experience building and shipping iOS applications is required. You will work with versatile engineers in a dynamic, technically demanding environment. You’ll be expected to demonstrate creativity in problem solving with the ability to think quickly to come up with solution in time-condensed situations. You should be self-motivated and passionate about driving forward the customer experience. We promote the ability for you to experiment with new Apple technologies that can have a strong impact on the applications our team produce
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will interact with many other group’s internal team to lead and deliver premier products in an exciting fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with peers on technical design, work estimation and implementation of new features
- Work with project managers and technical teams, in a multi-functional environment, to implement quality products that meet the business goals.
- Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and process enhancements
- Lead and mentor other engineers in the team
- Continually improving software development processes and practices
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years developing and shipping iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
- Expertise in building high-quality iOS apps, focusing on exceptional user experiences for consumer-facing products.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, enterprise architecture, and software engineering principles.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience using technical metrics to improve app performance, stability, and user satisfaction.
- Deep knowledge of the iOS ecosystem, software development lifecycle, and modern practices like unit testing, UI testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient with project management tools, Git, and iOS tools (e.g., Xcode, Instruments) for efficient project delivery.
- Consistent track record to handle numerous projects, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and strong ownership, collaborating effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Track record of driving innovative, scalable solutions to optimize iOS app performance and enhance user experience.
- Experience building and launching iOS apps for large-scale mobile or e-commerce platforms, focusing on customer experience and shopping efficiency.
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, aligning partners across teams to drive technical and product goals.
- Analytical and persistent problem solver, passionate about innovating and improving user-facing iOS apps.
- Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
