Ads ML Experimentation team is seeking an experienced Data Scientist who will help drive innovation and improve our product decision making process through the intersection of data and experimentation. As a Data Scientist on the Experimentation team, you will partner with stakeholders to develop new experimentation methodologies, statistical techniques, and causal-inference approaches to optimize customer experiences across Apple AdPlatform’s use-cases. While understanding our product features, you will perform rigorous analysis, measure performance and make data-driven decisions.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
  • 2+ years of experience with Experimentation and A/B Testing
  • Extensive background in statistical methods and data mining.
  • Experience with propensity score analysis, linear regression modeling and/or probabilistic modeling.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data stored in distributed files systems such as HDFS and S3.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, Python or R. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus.
  • Knowledge in distributed processing frameworks such as Spark.
  • Ability to condense complex concepts and analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action.
  • Curious business attitude with a proven ability to seek projects with a sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication, social and presentation skills.

Description

Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to design, implement and analyze A/B test experiments intended to optimize customer experiences across AdPlatform’s use-cases. Apply statical rigor to readouts using methods of confidence testing and present experiment insights at executive levels — this is a role with high visibility. Build out foundational datasets to facilitate the automation of readouts in collaboration with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence. Evangelize A/B testing best practices across the organization. Craft the experimentation roadmap and future integrations with data-driven prioritization. Creativity in formulating statistical questions to address business needs. Education & Experience

Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field
