Key Qualifications

  • Good scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
  • Cellular System verification by both manual and automated testing
  • Experience in UE-side testing and UE logs analysis.
  • Ability to triage on failures, including genuine SW crashes and test environment issues.
  • Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications (LTE & NR Air Interface, PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP and NAS layer).
  • Ability to define, develop and validate cellular modem system test cases for mobile devices.
  • Comfortable with solving problems and triaging/debugging/reproducing issues.

Description

We are looking for a colleague to join our Stability Verification team in Munich. The team is responsible for Stress and Stability testing of cellular modem software for modern wireless platforms. In this role you will be responsible for development of test plans and test methodology for the product stress test in multiple locations and multiple operators, as well as for tests execution, monitoring, issues analysis and reporting. It includes but is not limited to identifying issues, root cause analysis and following up with development teams on issues remedy. In this role you will collaborate with other parts of the team all around the world and have impact on product delivery by working with partners from other teams. Taking part in test strategy development, including plan for locations, operators and technologies. Identification of test cases and development of test methodology for broad feature coverage, both in live network and on simulators. End-to-end execution of Stress and Stability test campaigns, including starting, monitoring, and reporting. Analysis of test failures, issues and crashes, modem logs analysis and triage, followed by engagement with respective development teams to fix issues. Interfacing with test framework development teams on automation improvements, new test cases and end-to-end workflow. Participation in various review meetings, cross-geo and with different audiences to represent stability results and top issues. This challenging position will require you to effectively manage numerous activities simultaneously and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment.
