Here within the Finance organization at Apple, we work with an immense amount of financial data that can be difficult to compile and present in a meaningful way. With so many eyes on the performance of our company, it is imperative that we have the best tools and processes to quickly dissect, use, and analyze all of our data accurately so that we may provide Apple’s senior leadership with the right information to make sound decisions. We need someone who can help build these tools that will drive decisions made at the highest levels. As a Financial Data Analyst to design, maintain, and innovate database solutions for Corporate FP&A. These solutions will be used to automate heavy manual or forecasting processes, expedite the production of time-sensitive results, and be the source of interactive and multifaceted analytics and visualizations. This person will work within the Data Analytics team to use the database, a customized front-end web tool, Tableau workbooks, and our standard methodologies in order to replicate such solutions for our business partners. We are eager to find a Financial Data Analyst who can quickly acclimate himself/herself to different areas within Finance and then provide quick and workable solutions towards building or improving our tools and analytics.

Key Qualifications

  • Data-driven and quantitative skills are a MUST
  • Proven analytical skill with good business sense
  • Fast learner with ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey thorough mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts.
  • Highly proficient in Python, Tableau, Excel
  • Project or working experience in Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics preferred
  • Able to communicate technical issues effectively with finance partners and business needs with technical partners
  • Able to conceptualize long-term strategy for technical and scalable solutions and independently drive the success of a project
  • Able to continually challenge the status quo process and ensure continual benefit & efficiency via automation
  • Proactive problem solver, encouraged to present problems and recommendations simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality around product launches, corporate forecasts and other critical initiatives
  • Extremely curious; is not satisfied with easy or convenient answers; drives issues to root cause

Description

The analyst will mainly focus on business data digitalization, integration and analytics include a combination of the following tasks: - Assist to consolidate and improve efficiency of non-iPhone DG. Be the single point of contact with worldwide Sales Finance and Sales Planning team - DG impact analysis: leverage historical data for investigate analysis, design easy-to-use reporting or dashboard for collaborators to quickly understand DG performance, explore advanced technics for future DG planning - Store performance analysis: expansion, shift, project store revenue with modeling - Education verification system automation: system build up, transaction level verification, data flow automation from reseller input at store level to GBS rebate payout - Other sales finance digitalization projects based on business/management need (for example affordability and A/B tests analysis)

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Machine Learning or related fields such as Math, Finance, Computer Science and etc. - Base in Beijing
