Key Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge in two or more of the following: camera calibration, image processing, AI/ML, optical instrumentation
  • Experience in image quality, camera performance characterization, camera imaging science and calibration
  • Faster learner, innovative/think different, self motivated, can define/study/tackle problems by himself/herself.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills, in a worldwide environment, oral & written with English and Mandarin.
  • Remains flexible and calm in times of uncertainty.
  • Good mathematics, statistics background, understand tolerance analysis, process capability, 6-sigma principles will be a plus
  • Experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly multi-functional and fast pace environment.
  • Ability to travel frequently.

Description

- Design, specification, development and deployment of camera metrology systems of automation machines. These equipments calibrate and verify performance for use during Apple new product introduction (NPI). - Work with equipment vendors to design the perfect equipment from scratch for calibrating and verifying the performance of Apple products - Design, develop, debug and optimize vision system to meet with accuracy and precision requirement for its calibration and performance verification - Define project plans and schedules. Drive project execution. - Work with tech_Ops team to define fixture tolerance band relevant w/ vision system, including camera, lens, lighting and mechanical portion - Vision system analysis, implement risk assessment that impact consistency. - Evaluate proposal from multiple vendors, down selecting the best candidates to create design requirement of vision system - Define auto program classes to simplify onsite tuning, categorize vision program - Perform GR&R & Cpk to validate machine/fixture capability.

Education & Experience

MS or PhD Degree in Optical Engineering
