The Diagnostics Platform & Interfaces engineering team at Apple builds the systems that power the cloud-based, embedded field diagnostics for billions of Apple products used by our customers everyday. As an owner of the teams product roadmap you will ensure that millions of Apple’s customers have a secure, private and seamless experience during trade-in, service, repair and many other interactions that require hardware diagnostics. If you have experience building innovative software products and you also have an innate curiosity to learn the internal of Apple’s hardware products this is the team for you.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a software product management, solution architecture, or business analyst role.
  • Exposure to hardware product manufacturing, testing or design lifecycle.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps and identifying new use cases to explore.
  • Experience in Scrum methodology with the ability to write precise technical specification or user stories that align with business priorities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional areas.
  • Ability to use variety of data analysis or WebService testing tools.
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts through sketches, wireframes or prototypes.
  • Ability to manage relationships and influence business partners at all levels.
  • Extensive experience managing competing and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present work to executives.

Description

Diagnostics capabilities at Apple are delivered by a complex ecosystem that is supported by multiple engineering teams. You will be responsible for understanding the needs and changes across the ecosystem and build a strategic roadmap. To ensure alignment of your roadmap with the various engineering team, you will partner with respective product owners to prioritize trade-offs, clarify requirements, and drive towards product goals. You will define solutions for business problems, write user stories, manage product backlog, and advocate for end-user and business needs. You will also facilitate effective communication between business and engineering teams to get issues resolved. You will have extensive technical conversations with engineers and non-technical professionals, and will be required to present in front of senior leaders.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience.
