Apple's Compensation team is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Strategist to implement and oversee industry-best communications processes and practices and lead key communications projects for internal and external audiences. This position works with internal partners across Apple and the People Team to develop, produce, and execute digital communications for all levels of employees. The successful candidate will have deep subject matter expertise in communication strategy, with experience developing effective multi-channel internal communication campaigns for internal audiences and partners. Demonstrated track record of building communication strategies, calendars, and quarterly planning. Must be willing and able to execute at all stages of communication campaigns and related projects from concept to completion. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, ability to create effective keynotes, and write and edit in accordance with Apple style and tone. The ideal candidate will be a “yes, and” driver, doer, and collaborator who is strategic, proactive, highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-moving, complex environment. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is a requirement. We are a highly collaborative team and you will work extensively with members of the Compensation team as well as with others outside of the team including senior leaders, program managers, designers, writers, web developers and other cross-functional partners from groups across Apple. We are seeking someone who demonstrates success working both independently and collaboratively with a number of partners across many disciplines. Success in the role will be largely dependent on being skilled in stakeholder management, leading through influence and ambiguity, and driving quickly to deliver results in fast-paced work environment. • Set strategy and manage multiple communications projects and launches at once • Oversee development of end-to-end communications with an eye for employee experience • Advise Compensation leadership team by recommending the best communication approach, method and tools for specified programs depending on audience and desired outcomes • Partner with internal and external resources to ensure alignment of messaging and coordination of processes for timely execution • Provide frequent and clear communications regarding project status to key partners while raising potential issues or key decisions needed to ensure successful project delivery • Produce or oversee the production of the assets needed to support each program • Ensure key data are collected, understood and acted upon appropriately

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Deep subject matter expertise in communications project management for internal and/or external marketing and communications as well as a working understanding of engagement metrics
  • Experience in Human Resources and compensation communications
  • Ability to drive projects to successful completion whether working solo or with large, cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing creative teams (design and writing) and the creative development process -preferably in a marketing or advertising agency setting
  • Experience planning multi-channel communication campaigns including ability to write program and project briefs, creating comms timelines and milestones, and bringing stakeholders along with timely updates
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft content for employee emails, internal and external websites, executive Keynote presentations, and apply data analysis to metrics-driven storytelling
  • Ability to build and send emails in Composer and Direct Mail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning, organization and implementation skills
  • Structured/analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail

  • Demonstrated success in managing international collaborations, particularly with localization teams

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in relevant degree preferred, MBA or other advanced degree relevant to Writing or Communications desired
