Apple Retail is seeking business development professionals in the fast growing Greater China region. We’re looking for serial problem solvers, relationship builder, and influencer to drive Apple Retail business forward in one of our most strategic markets. Key responsibilities of the Commercial Manager are to manage the commercial success of Apple Retail across both physical retail (Apple Stores) and online retail (http://apple.com/retail): • Manage financial results of Apple product categories. • Synthesize market intelligence, trends and opportunities. • Develop new business model, programs, strategic initiatives for Apple product sales. •Manage Apple product launch strategy and execution. •Lead iPhone carrier negotiations, ongoing partnerships and account management for Apple Retail.
- 10+ years of relevant product management, sales, operational, or telecom experience.
- Skilled leader who thrives in a fast paced environment.
- Savvy at commercial propositions and negotiations.
- Proven success in establishing rapport, credibility and influence to drive results.
- Skilled at cultivating relationships at the most senior levels.
- Operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire individuals and teams.
- English required, Mandarin, Cantonese preferred
Analytical: • Manage Apple product lifecycle for Retail from product launch, demand planning, to end-of-life disposition. • Decipher market insights from industry and macroeconomic trend analyses. Strategic & Creative Thinking: • Identify commercial opportunities, develop product strategy and key growth initiatives for the region. • Design region, country, and in some cases city-specific strategy and business plans. Drive for Results: • Lead weekly, quarterly financial analyses, presentation of results and business reviews. • Drive financial and program performance through influencing and partnering with the Field, Retail, Apple Inc. teams. Collaboration: • Cultivate and manage relationships throughout Apple Retail and Apple Inc. • Engage, collaborate and develop strong relationships with the Field in achieving business objectives. Executive Management: • Provide strategic input and contribute to development of local and global programs. • Articulate and present business strategy and local needs to Apple Retail leadership. External Relationship Management: • Apple Retail’s lead with external vendors such as iPhone carriers. • Spearhead commercial negotiations, partnerships and account management with external partners.
Education & Experience
BS/BA required, MBA preferred
