Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish. The Display Quality Team is looking for a motivated, technically oriented, to manage display module quality. You will be responsible for developing and implementing processes and tools for all aspects of module process during development and mass production, working with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure high quality manufacturing.

Key Qualifications

  • We are looking for you with
  • - 5 plus years in an engineering role with experience in product design, Quality as well as design for manufacturability or manufacturing engineering
  • - Solid working knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFA) as well as quality tools and techniques with new product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience in volume production
  • - Strong background on plastic mold injection, metal chassis stamping, and mechanical parts assembly
  • - Rich knowledge of GD&T, metrology design, 6 sigma, failure analysis
  • - Understanding on tolerance stack up analysis
  • - Hands on experience taking care of process capability analysis, GRR, cross-cavity check and Process qualification
  • - Deep experience in measurement techniques and high skill level to handle actual measurement tools equipment – OMM, CMM, jig design
  • - Good command of excels, Minitab or JMP sw.
  • - Preferred work experiences in LCD back light area. Basic understanding of adhesives, PSA’s and VHB’s a plus.
  • - Working knowledge of pneumatics, servomotors, PLC and PC-based control systems and clean room set up a plus.
  • We are expecting you to
  • - Responsible for manufacturing research and development to solve complex problems that have direct impact to final product cost, quality and delivery of Apple products. Under broad goals and objectives, exercises discernment within general defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to complex problems.
  • - To manage mechanical parts vendors for mold injection parts, metal chassis stamping process and secondary processes like laser welding and other innovative assembly processes.
  • - Involvement may begin at any step from concept phase to Mass production.
  • - Metrology design review with vendor to ensure Vendor understood the design intent and fulfill data collection request.
  • - Compiles and evaluates test and measurement data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
  • - May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
  • - Map out quality control plan from prototype stage up to full production.
  • - Sets standard practices and independently determines impact to design approaches and parameters to the final product.
  • - Develop new and or improved processes through the application of theoretical and practical engineering.
  • - Applies extensive expertise in all facets of mechanical product design.
  • - Provides direction, mentorship and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory technicians. Act as lead engineer on a variety of projects and participates in the project planning of major sub-projects.
  • - Keeps abreast of all meaningful technical trends and developments and incorporates them in appropriate assignments.
  • - Performs assignments in several of the following manufacturing engineering functions:
  • - Design for Manufacturability - Provide early and on going manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable.
  • - Failure/Data Analysis - Plans, develops and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products. Specifies test to be performed, compiles data and makes recommendations for product design changes and final assembly standards. This will include the use of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles.

Education & Experience

•BSME or equivalent (MSME, MSIE desired)
