We are seeking a highly capable Operations Program Manager (OPM) to lead our Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) in successfully launching Beats products with precision timing, superior product quality, and maximum customer availability as well as supporting sustaining programs in the same way.
The ideal candidate thrives in situations that require creative solutions, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and is relentlessly detail-oriented. They will be a skilled communicator at all levels and have the ability to resolve conflicts.
The OPM will be the essential link between the WW OPM (US Based), various functional units within Apple (including planning, materials, and procurement) and our OEM partners.
Key Qualifications
- 8-10 years experience in manufacturing industry with managing factory operational background, interfaces with or manages cross functional teams engineering, quality system, IS&T, cost etc... will be the preference.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with an innate ability to lead NPI and sustaining programs effectively and independently.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail while running multiple projects.
- Good vision, analytical, process oriented and strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skill and interaction with people
- Result oriented, strong in leadership
- Willing to work from OEM factory
- English & Vietnamese proficiency (Mandarin also a benefit)
Description
As the OPM, you are to lead our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team, planning and implementing development builds, new product ramps, and sustaining production in coordination with the WW OPM colleagues. Collaborating closely with internal and external teams in the US and Asia, you will be responsible for effectively managing schedules, capacity, material availability, quality issues, and product updates.
For sustaining production, you will manage day to day operations to meet weekly Master Production schedules (MPS) per WW planning’s priority, region’s mix and overall pack out quantity with explanation of shipment delta, cycle time goal; articulate impact on the organization in revenue and costs.
By effectively communicating requirements and schedules, you will facilitate technical readiness with supply chain teams, thus enhancing product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness while ensuring cost-efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with material team, planning team, quality team, logistics team and WW OPM NPI team, to ensure weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly production target and shipment target are met.
- Order Cycle Time (OCT) and Time Dependency Model (TDM) Management.
- Short term and long term capacity planning and execution.
- Early Involvement with New Project Development.
- Work with OEM team to simulate ramp plans based on updated timing as needed.
- Team Building and Provide Guidance to OEM.
- Establish Good Working Relationship with Local OEM and 2nd Tier Suppliers.
- Create relevant management reporting to support the business with high data accuracy on a weekly basis and communicate in a timely manner.
