Job Summary As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will bring your expertise in manufacturing and quality management of high precision assemblies for mobile devices including VCM, OIS and camera actuator technology.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent technical management skills centered on enabling groundbreaking technologies in high volume and high quality
  • Strong technical skills, involving problem solving and issue root cause in a pressured environment
  • Self starter with innovation, integrity and attention to detail
  • Experience working with international OEM partners
  • 10+ years of experience in senior positions within similar product sourcing, manufacturing and quality
  • Direct experience within the camera mobile phone industry
  • Design or development experience along with operations quality experience preferred
  • Understanding of the detail of manufacturing effectiveness
  • Experience of auditing suppliers and closing issues before ramp
  • Direct experience leading a functional engineering teams a plus
  • OIS and VCM technology for mobile devices
  • International travel > 50%

Description

You will work closely with suppliers and engineers so as to deliver scalable manufacturing processes in a timely manner and lead key manufacturing sites based in Japan and China. This will include the following: •Evaluate prospective suppliers regarding production capability & quality management. •Work closely with DRI for leading, troubleshooting and auditing 2nd tier suppliers. •Lead multi-functional activities in the supply chain for overall operational readiness in all NPI phases leading into mass production. •Maintain quality and manage volume throughout the ramp up and sustaining phase, and drive any issues to closure whilst maintaining clear communications to all partners. •Lead suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate (utilizing statistical tools) process capability to Apple standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test, process and quality requirements. •Utilize DOE’s, FMEA and other industry standard tools to actively identify and address risks and optimize process parameters. •Establish quality programs and approve process control plans for each program / process / vendor to ensure the highest level quality and reliability is consistently delivered. •Act as Ops technical lead in communicating project readiness and identifying risks.

Education & Experience

•BS/MS Engineering, PhD (preferred)
