At Apple, we believe our products begin with our people. By hiring a team with varied strengths, we drive creative thought. By giving that team everything they need, we drive innovation. By hiring incredible engineers, we drive precision. And through our collaborative process, we build memorable experiences for our customers.
These elements come together to make Apple an amazing environment for motivated people to do the greatest work of their lives. You will become part of a hands-on development team that sets the standard in cultivating excellence, creativity and innovation. Will you help us design the next generation of revolutionary Apple products?
Apple is seeking a highly motivated and Senior Equipment and Process Engineer to join the Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team within the Display Technologies organization. This engineer will support the R&D pilot line for next-generation optical modules, with responsibilities spanning equipment DFM, bring-up, tooling design, AOI inspection, and module process development. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical foundation, hands-on troubleshooting capability, and end-to-end experience in the equipment development cycle—from concept design to deployment and sustainment.
This role combines hands-on equipment engineering with active collaboration in module-level process development. The engineer will support equipment installation, mechanical integration, retrofits, and system bring-up, while also performing hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of precision assembly and automation systems. You will participate in the full equipment/process development cycle, from concept reviews through validation and continuous improvement. The engineer will work closely with process teams to develop and optimize bonding, alignment, lamination, cutting, dispensing, and optical module assembly processes.
In addition, the engineer will engage with vendors and development partner to define requirements, coordinate tool upgrades, and validate enhancements, while maintaining comprehensive documentation, including mechanical drawings, PM records, tool history logs, and safety procedures. They will actively support fast-turn engineering runs by preparing mechanical setups, validating fixtures, and ensuring optimal interaction between process flows and equipment capabilities.
