We are looking for a highly motivated, result-oriented team player with a strong background in ML and hands-on experience in software development to join our team. Our mission is to advance the state-of-art reasoning and optimization techniques for improved accuracy and efficient inference. Thus, the ideal candidate for this position is a researcher and engineer who will relentlessly push the existing boundary with out-of-box thinking and materialize the idea with the very details to impact both Apple partners and research communities.
- Research and applied work in LLM reasoning, planning, tool use, agentic LLMs, and related topics - Work on the next generation of LLM and VLM architectures and reasoning models
  • Ph.D. in CS or related fields
  • Quality publications in LLM Reasoning and Planning (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc)
  • Expert in PyTorch/Python programming
  • Experience with Large-scale model training/tuning
  • Experience in tool use, agentic LLMs, RAG
  • Experience with processing multiple modalities (i.e., audio/vision) with Foundational Models.
  • Experience with efficient inference, HW/SW co-design, performance optimization
  • Experience with Jax programming
  • Understanding ML accelerations and architectures
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
