Apple's WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and best practices to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many cross-functional groups at world-wide and regional levels. As a Supply/Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in New Store Openings (NSO) of Apple Channel stores, managing the planning and execution of ancillary elements. In this position, you will oversee order workflow, ensuring delivery while keeping optimal inventory levels and driving continuous improvements to impact our Channel Sales teams for years to come.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry.
  • Prior experience in project management, product planning, production control, inventory management, or production/manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and excel working with large quantities of data.
  • Storytelling skills, and experience presenting to executive management.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Keynote.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and work with cross functional partners in multiple areas of the business.
  • Experience in global logistics and customs practices.

Description

In this role, you will: Manage the ancillary process for all supported SKUs throughout the SKU life cycle including replenishment, inventory management, EOL management, and disposal, as well as all supporting processes. Drive all forecasting activities for ancillary items for Channel New Store Openings (NSO); Continuously work on finding efficiencies in the planning process and methodology and improve forecasting accuracy. Manage inventory of all supported ancillary element; Determine ideal inventory levels on a SKU level and minimize risk of shortages while maintaining most cost-efficient levels of inventory; Manage replenishment and rebalancing of inventory between suppliers and plants. Manage and drive improvements of systems and tools needed to support business; Drive transition and implementation of applications into internal ordering tool. Partner closely with external suppliers and internal cross functional partners and drive projects, resolve urgent issues, and manage and build relationships; Provide updates to key stakeholders and management. Use and analyze data; assess, consolidate, and communicate risk and opportunities to leadership; Provide weekly and monthly updates on inventory status, spend, and supplier performance.
