Apple is looking for a junior attorney or compliance professional to join our financial services compliance team. This is a chance to be part of a hands-on team, dedicated to supporting the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team across the United States. Successful applicant must be able to have good time management, communication, and organizational skills. They must possess a strong work ethic, be proactive, and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service down to the smallest detail.

Key Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of UDAAP/UDAP and other consumer compliance laws, either in the private sector, with non-governmental organizations, or in government.
  • Experience developing a comprehensive UDAAP/UDAP assessment program and consumer protection controls.
  • Ability to identify potential UDAAP/UDAP concerns and recommend potential remediation.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to convey complex topics and recommendations (written, verbal and listening).
  • Strategic understanding of consumer compliance strategies and objectives.
  • Ability to identify whether customer complaints may have potential UDAAP/UDAP concerns.
  • Experience working with regulators.
  • Staying current on the regulatory environment and expectations as it relates to UDAAP/UDAP and other consumer compliance matters.
  • Interact with the business and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to UDAAP/UDAP and other consumer compliance requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing UDAAP/UDAP and consumer compliance monitoring and risk assessments

Description

- Serve as a Compliance liaison on consumer protection laws such as UDAAP/UDAP and ECOA. - Engage with internal and external stakeholders on consumer compliance matters. - Work with internal teams to develop and implement consumer compliance strategy. - Coordinate compliance efforts with various consumer protection laws and regulations across multiple products and services. - Collaborate with members of the Legal and Global Security, Wallets, Payments and Commerce, Product Marketing, and other teams on UDAAP/UDAP and other consumer compliance matters.

Education & Experience

JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar is a plus 5+ years relevant professional experience
