The Product Operations team is looking for a hardworking and self-motivated Program Manager to be part of a diverse, dynamic and high-energy team. We work in a highly collaborative and multi-functional environment, with accelerated deadlines, handling several projects at a time. You will take ownership for cross-functional projects involving multiple business partners and ensure that they are prioritised, planned and completed timely and within budget. You will work out of Apple's EMEIA Headquarters in Cork and will involve travel to some of our international partners. Key Qualifications

  • Relevant operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer related industry.
  • Current knowledge of world class supply chain management, manufacturing and reverse logistics practices.
  • Experience with consumer electronic manufacturing, postponement and Value Added Services processes in the areas of design, 3PL cost structures, supply and quality management.
  • Track record achieving significant results with an ability to operate in an ambiguous environment, taking charge in the absence of leadership.
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with good business savvy.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and executive presentations.
  • Ability to form relationships, build multi-functional teams and exert effective influence in a matrix organisation.
  • Ability to think strategically, while driving tactical program execution.
  • Attention to detail without becoming lost in the details.

Description

You will lead multiple projects within the wider EMEIA Product Operations team. Responsibilities will include alignment with project sponsors, forming and leading the project team, defining budgets and acquiring approval. This role will also have regular communication of status and critical issues to a wide stakeholder group, escalation of impacting issues to functional owners and tracking and delivery of project goals within the agreed schedule. - Develop links with the business owners and the functional management team in Product Operations as well as teams in other Apple functions and key external partners. - Implement an effective communication strategy to ensure that all project collaborators are kept fully informed on project progress. - Design and implement initiatives to minimise waste and promote sustainability in the rework processes of finished goods, implementing environmentally friendly practices where possible to reduce our carbon footprint. - Apply best-in-class project management methodologies on all projects, ensuring they are well scoped, utilise appropriate resources and apply well-costed solutions. - Identify, marshal and organise resources (Apple Staff, Partner Staff, Contractors, etc) to meet required goals. - Synthesise a multitude of issues into a clear, concise and focused message. Present with confidence and brevity. - Always push the top tier edge of innovation and excellence in Apple products, processes and program management practices.

Education & Experience

An MBA or MSc /MEng would be a plus A combination of both formal education and experience in Engineering and business is preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
