Apple SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple’s wireless products.

Key Qualifications

  • Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements is desirable.
  • Working Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05…) is meaningful.
  • Experience with carrier/ industry conformance radiated performance requirements like 3GPP, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding is a plus.
  • Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools is nice to have.

Description

Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. Define/implement validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. Debugging marginal/failure tests with multi-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues. Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. Drive planning/completing final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing. Be able to travel and support needs for factory build and 3rd party lab certification testing.

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree with 4 + years' experience required. Masters Degree with 2+ years' experience preferred.
