We have an open position for an enthusiastic, motivated learning leader to join our team. You would be responsible for leading the Japan learning team to support the consistent implementation of learning and development programs across the region. You will coordinate with local business partners to identify emerging trends, needs and gaps within learning programs and develop scalable training, coaching, and engagement strategies and solutions. You will evaluate training effectiveness and propose adjustments or different strategies as needed to cross functional partners and global peers.
Responsibilities includes not limited to;
・Work with cross functional, regional, and global business partners to drive learning and development priorities based on business strategy as well as goals and objectives
・Lead in-region learning team of trainers and coaches and provide support in their development and performance through regular connections and SMART goals
・Provide guidance to the design, development, production, and implementation of learning solutions to ensure consistency and quality of content and delivery
・Liaise across key stakeholders to secure resources and ensure smooth execution of learning solutions
・Communicate training and coaching plans and review implementation strategies across outsource vendor network
・Define and represent regional learning needs to engage regularly and share feedback with global peers to drive innovation and consistency
・Own the regional learning and development roadmap
・Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions across the network through assessments and data analysis
・Manage discovery center hardware and learning programs
・Perform other duties as assigned
- 5+ years in the learning management, defining and executing training and coaching strategy
- Familiar with adult learning principles and instructional design techniques, design framework and learning evaluation, and coaching techniques and framework
- Experience with learning management systems, content management, and reporting structure
- Inspiring leadership skills with a record of building and maintaining high-achieving teams
- Ability to inspire and influence stakeholders on learning behaviors and principles in order to provide best in class learning experiences
- Strong data analytic skills with the ability to identify trends and reporting results
- Strict adherence to company policy on confidential materials
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, both in English and Japanese
- Experience in developing team members through effective coaching, leadership skills, and professional knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines with numerous projects on hand
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and perform with minimal oversight or direction
- Management and leadership experience is required
- Coaching/Training Qualification would be advantageous
